Making a Gout Stool – Part Three

The winter sun smiled down on me today, so I grasped the opportunity to snap a few progress pictures before the next downpour of rain.

The cabinetmaking has been finished for a while and the whole stool has been assembled, hinges and all, and its operation checked. I’ll dust it down and apply the stain this afternoon and if the sun continues to warm the shed, who knows, I may even be able to brush the first coat of finish over it too!

This pile of wood is actually a stool.
