Nelson Serves the French another Unpalatable Dish

On the 1st of August 1798, the Royal Navy, under Rear-Admiral Sir Horatio Nelson, surrounded the fleet of the French Republic in Aboukir Bay, in the Mediterranean Sea off Egypt and gave them a thorough thrashing, stranding Napoleon Bonaparte’s army in Egypt and Palestine into the bargain.
