Picture This XXV

A four-poster bed found dumped in a hotel car park in Chester has been identified as having once belonged to Henry VII. The bed is now considered to be worth £20m ($37,025,350.00).

    Someone left a 500 year old bed in a parking lot – and nobody along the line never thought to ask if a bed that old was valuable? I’m completely stunned. Really. At least it’s been found and will now (I hope) be saved from a junk shop or bonfire.

    Incredible what people will do.
    Even the most simple mind would should have known that ornamentation of that level had to be worth a pretty penny.
    And, I agree with Mr. Smith above; at least now this piece is saved.

    A lot of speculation there and no experts from the V&A or similar institutions that have departments which specialise in furniture, just academics from other fields telling you it’s right. Something I’d be suspicious of, and the fact this is in the daily mail doesn’t help!
