Christmas Crackets

William_Heath_Christmas_Day_1800_01a

Our first Christmas in the country will be a busy one: In between breaking horses, we are hosting a running BBQ throughout the day for our Antipodean family and friends – and some of the guests will indeed be seated on crackets.

Season’s greetings to one and all!

Nothing is as festive as pulling Christmas crackets and breaking horses!

Best of the season to you and Virginia.

Breaking horses (if I understand the term correctly) leads to some well trained (broken) ones that are a joy for the entire family for years to come.
You can even make the Roubo dye with their help, though I didn’t have much success with it.

    Merry Christmas
